Sgt. Arthur Garrett KIA at Guadalcanal

U.S. Marines Sergeant Arthur C. Garrett, son of Peter W. Garrett, Cedar Street, Nutley, was killed in action at Guadalcanal in the vicinity of Matanika River, in the South Pacific, on Oct. 8, 1942.

Sgt. Garrett is buried at 8730 Guadalcanal Cemetery, Guadalcanal, BSI plot-B, Row 59, Grave 6.
